So I took some time to go on another tame safari... (read: zoo trip) One of those things that we try and do at least once a year. As always, we got lost going. I know the way, and yet have this uncontrollable urge to take a new route every time. I got a few decent shots. The gorillas are my favorite, mainly because a shot of the Silverback Qwan when I got my first camera is what helped me gain some confidence in my shooting. Anyway, a few shots will be posted. Well, I won the large tournament that I have been playing for the past four Sundays. Culminating on Saturday, with much nervousness and anticipation. I won. Won something I never thought I had a chance at. All my friends have been super  supportive and everyone is genuinely happy for me I believe. I'm just so beside myself that I was able to win against sturdy competition. People that best me regularly. It was a good time, of course it is always easy to say you had fun when you win, but I really was just there for a good time. Thanks.

In like a blowtorch, out like a... well hell... like a blowtorch. August is here with a vengeance, happy global warming... except, all the record highs for this area were in the fifties. Not that that piece of information will stop the ragging nut jobs of society from their bellicose and hysterical screaming. Been forever I know. I make no promises that it won't be forever again. Space Shuttle launched today. I love that. It's the coolest or second coolest thing that mankind has ever done. Democracy is probably the first. I mean, tea parties, who doesn't love that idea.
